Madison Bossom is the Director of Marketing at REMAX Concepts. With 24 offices across Iowa, Illinois, and Florida, Madison and her team support more than 500 agents. She has been with the company for 8.5 years, the last 3 as Director of Marketing, providing agents with the tools and content they need to grow their business.

 

Her background spans graphic design, social media management, AI, and video production. She leads her team through everything from listing launches to full brand rollouts. Madison is also a state-licensed instructor through Concepts Real Estate School. 

Neil Timmins is a Des Moines, Iowa native and experienced real estate investor and entrepreneur. He began his career as a Realtor with RE/MAX, becoming the #1 RE/MAX agent in Iowa by age 29, with his team also recognized as a Wall Street Journal Top 100 team. After years in residential real estate, Neil transitioned into investing, beginning with single-family homes before expanding into commercial real estate.

 

He has been involved in more than $300 million in real estate transactions across a variety of asset classes, including industrial, apartments, office, retail, and self-storage. Neil is also the host of the Investing in Iowa Show, where he highlights Iowa’s real estate and business community.

Chuck Simmons is the Broker and Owner of Motto Mortgage Midwest in West Des Moines, where he also works as a mortgage loan originator. With more than 28 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Chuck has helped thousands of clients navigate the home-buying process and is known for his expertise in VA, condo, and specialized loan programs.

 

He previously served as President of the Iowa Mortgage Association and continues to be an active voice in Iowa’s real estate and lending community. Chuck is passionate about making the mortgage process easier to understand and helping buyers find financing solutions that fit their needs.

Terry Gearhart is the Vice President of Lending at Neighborhood Finance Corporation (NFC), a nonprofit mortgage lender focused on sustainable homeownership and neighborhood revitalization throughout Iowa. Terry has extensive experience in mortgage lending and specializes in helping homebuyers and homeowners navigate financing options, including renovation, down payment assistance, and other community-based lending programs.

 

He works closely with real estate professionals, homeowners, and community partners to connect people with programs designed to make homeownership and home improvements more accessible. Terry has also served in leadership with the Iowa Mortgage Association and is a strong advocate for community-focused lending and neighborhood investment.

Joe Borg is a member of the Litigation Group, where he handles commercial, real estate, and other trial matters, including breach of contract and lease, professional malpractice, and business tort claims. His clients include large corporations, small businesses, and individuals. Joe graduated summa cum laude from Central College in 2000 and was named captain of its basketball team.

He earned high honors from Drake University Law School in 2003, was elected to the Order of the Coif, served as Articles Editor of the Drake Law Review, and joined the Moot Court Board. Before Dickinson Bradshaw, he practiced for more than five years at another Des Moines law firm and completed a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Terry L. Huitink of the Iowa Court of Appeals.

Jason Sandegren is an attorney at Wasker, Dorr, Wimmer & Marcoullier, P.C., where his practice primarily focuses on real estate transactions. Raised in Boone, Iowa, Jason earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Coe College before attending Drake University Law School, where he earned his J.D. in 2013.

 

During law school, he clerked for Iowa Title Guaranty in both its residential and commercial real estate departments. Jason has been licensed to practice law in Iowa since 2014 and is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association’s Real Estate and Title Law Section Council.

Justin Hayes is the General Counsel for Iowa REALTORS®, where he provides legal guidance and support to real estate professionals across the state. A Des Moines native, Justin graduated from North High School before earning degrees in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Iowa and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.

 

Prior to joining Iowa REALTORS® in 2024, he practiced at Wasker, Dorr, Wimmer & Marcoullier, P.C. in Des Moines, focusing on real estate closings and For-Sale-By-Owner transactions. In his role with Iowa REALTORS®, Justin helps members navigate legal and regulatory issues and staffs the association’s Broker Legal Hotline.

Andrew began his career with Iowa Equity Exchange in January 2020. Andrew is Ken’s son and, as such, also grew up in the same real-estate-focused household. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics and Statistics with a minor in Computer Science from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

 

He has a passion for researching 1031 case law, and is committed to providing outstanding service to our clients. Andrew earned his Certified Exchange Specialist® designation in 2023.

Scott Hall is a Partner at Carney & Appleby, PLC, where he focuses his practice on real estate, business, estate planning and probate, civil litigation, and personal injury law. Scott joined the firm as a law clerk in 2006 while attending Drake University Law School and became a licensed Iowa attorney in 2009.

 

Before law school, he spent six years with GMAC Financial Services in Iowa, Arizona, and Nevada, where he also completed his MBA. Scott has been active in the Iowa legal community, serving as President of the Dallas County Bar Association in 2021 and President of the Adel Kiwanis Club from 2017–2019.

Matt Hauge is the outreach & communications director at the Polk County Housing Trust Fund. Among priority initiatives to which he contributes are the Here We Grow effort to advance workforce housing opportunity and the One Economy Project housing strategic implementation team focused on creating housing opportunity in the African American community.

 

Matt previously served as executive director of the Historic Valley Junction Foundation and prior to that led marketing for Community Housing Initiatives, a statewide provider of affordable housing. He is from the Des Moines metro area and holds an MPA with an emphasis in nonprofit management from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
